Southerly situated Diedams means thermals are already active by the end of February. The best times to fly are between March and October, with very good thermal connections heading in the direction of Kleinwalsertal and Lechtal as well as toward the Arlberg. An optimal starting point in spring for flights heading in the direction of Hochgrat, Vorderbregenzerwald and towards the Bödele heading in the direction of Dornbirn. The record flight with end destination Zell am See: 208 km. FAI triangle between 100km and 150 km heading direction Nebelhorn-Lechtal-Bregenzerwald. Short, easy distance flights are possible between Andelsbuch and Hochtannberg.
