We invite you to leave behind your daily routines by taking an wonderful winter walk!
Winter hiking paths: about 35 km of prepared paths run partially parallel to cross country runs and away from streets and traffic.
Marked and Posted Trails
The walking paths are in marked and posted in the color pink. Because of the changing weather conditions in winter, walking times can be longer than specified for summer. "Shoe chains" are recommended for protection against sliding accidents in the ice and snow. Winter hiking, as hiking done at any time of the year, is done at your own risk!

Total hiking time: 3.5 hours
Starting point is in Au/Argenau. From there a beautifully groomed path will lead the way to Dürrenbach valley to the Bergkristall hut. This quiet and beautiful valley is especially exciting because of the enclosed massive cliffs of the Zitterklapfenstock. Whoever likes sledding , we recommend taking one with you.
