Special exhibitions with a regional theme. “wehrhafte wälder wiebôr – mythen um die weiße juppe” (myths about women defending the Bregenzerwald and about traditional costumes) is an exhibition that focuses on the tradition, sources and literature that relate to the Battle at Rote Egg, which is said to have taken place during the Thirty Years’ War. The legend still shapes how women from the Bregenzerwald see themselves to this day and has contributed, among other things, to how women there identify and their status.
