Schubertiade Schwarzenberg

Schubertiade Schwarzenberg

The Schubertiade Schwarzenberg Festival is one of the world’s most important Schubert festivals. The event features music from Schubert and his contemporaries amidst the rural atmosphere of meadows and beautiful village scenery.

…what’s more, the fact that this concert hall is set in magnificent countryside simply adds to the pleasure of the concerts. Everywhere the visitor looks there are green fields and woodland as well as views of the surrounding mountains…” (Neue Zürcher Zeitung) Every year the organisers of the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg stage around 100 concerts, evenings of song and master courses to the joy of some 46,000 music lovers from all over the world.

18 – 26 June and 20 – 28 August 2022

50 events are scheduled including chamber concerts, recitals, piano concerts, lectures and master classes. Every year, this unique event plays host to outstanding artists and ensembles in the Angelika-Kauffmann Hall, a venue which features beautiful views over the meadows and mountains. Special Schubertiade Festival buses depart from many villages, bringing guests to the concerts in Schwarzenberg.
