The village of Schoppernau is where Schoppernau's mountain farmers work. The farmers manage the valley, the mountain pastures and the high Alps with their animals. This economy and the renouncement of silo feeding form the basis for the production of the high-quality Bregenzerwald mountain cheese.

Every day our 21 milk suppliers deliver fresh “hay milk”. Strict feeding regulations – only grass, hay and crushed grain – are allowed as feed for the dairy cows, strict quality regulations and milk production in family farms guarantee the very best milk quality.

Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m.
